Recently, the Raleigh Warehouse District was named one of the top up and coming neighborhoods in the country. Located just off of Morgan Street, in the southwestern part of downtown Raleigh, this neighborhood is only growing. If you’re looking to move to downtown, now could be the best time to do so.
If you’re not familiar with the Warehouse District, it could be because all of the construction that’s been going on the past few years. Currently, the $80 million project, Union Station, is being built. Union Station will be a multi-modal facility, including the Amtrak, a civic hall, commercial rental space, and more. Not to mention the The Dillon, which is another large building that will also provide office space, residential living, and retail.
Leading the way in entrepreneurship and innovation is HQ Raleigh, the startup hub that has only been growing since it started. Tech-giant Citrix is also located there, with its huge buildings that you can’t miss. Another coworking station, The Assembly, is a shared studio space and platform for independent creatives.
Not only is there job opportunities, you’ll find lots of great food and drink opportunities in the Warehouse District. If you’ve lived in the Triangle for a while, The Pit is probably on your list of places to eat. It’s some of the best barbecue in town, with an awesome atmosphere.
