According to the report, less than 15 percent of Cary homeowners spend ,pre than 30 percent of their income on housing, which is an extremely impressive number. This makes them some of the most financially flexible people in the entire nation. In Raleigh, 11 percent of the population spends between 30 and 50 percent of their income on housing.
Another reason that both Apple and Amazon are considering the Raleigh-Durham area for their roots is because of quality of life in relation to a talented labor pool. North Carolina is the No. 2 state for technology-sector employment, as well as the No. 1 state for women in the tech workforce.
If both companies decide to set up shop in Raleigh, this will mean billions in revenue, as well as many as 60,000 new jobs. And in case you were wondering, the average paycheck will come in at roughly $130,000 per year.
