HBADOC Sponsors 3rd Blitz Having built 10 houses in a week in 2006 (and seven the year before), the 2008 Builder Blitz isn’t a new experience for the HBA of Durham, Orange & Chatham Counties – but is exciting nonetheless.

“Our builders know what this is about,” says Frank Wiesner, 2008 Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties Builder Blitz Chair. “It’s about making sure that 10 families who have earned the chance to have the American Dream, get that dream fulfilled on June 6.” Five houses will be built in Durham, three in Orange and two in Chatham Counties as the HBA partners with Habitat Chapters in each of those counties.

Participating builders so far are Anderson Homes, Cimarron Homes, Drees Homes, Garman Homes, K. Hovnanian Homes, Standard Pacific Homes, Olde South Homes, and HomeLife Communities – with two more builder slots to fill. The builders agree to supervise the construction of the homes, with all construction completed in time for a certificate of occupancy in six days or less.
