Lacy Bailey, Sarah Davis, and Sarah Herr of New Homes & Ideas (NHI) magazine recently teamed up for a good cause and volunteered their beautiful long locks of hair to the charity Locks of Love.
Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. They meet a unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. Most of the children helped by Locks of Love have lost their hair due to a medical condition called alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. The prostheses provided helps to restore their self-esteem, enabling them to face the world and their peers.
“There is no better way to build a child’s confidence than to have beautiful hair,” states Lacy Bailey, Sales Representative for NHI. “I am so glad my colleagues and I were able to donate to this worthy cause.”
