The Home Builders Association of Durham, Orange, & Chatham counties (HBADOC) and Habitat for Humanity built 10 homes in Durham, Orange and Chatham counties in 5 days during the week of May 31-June 5 as part of a national Habitat for Humanity Home Builders Blitz. Duke Children’s Hospital Miracle House donates more than $70,000 to Duke Children’s Hospital

Duke Miracle House Retired Duke Nurse Marie Ettson has purchased the Duke Children’s Hospital Miracle House in the Ellerbee Creek Preserve built by Atreus Homes and Communities. With the sale of the home to Mrs. Ettson, Atreus Homes and partners were able to donate more than $70,000 to Duke Children’s Hospital. Atreus Homes has long been involved in charitable organizations that benefit children. Miracle House, which is located in the company’s Ellerbee Creek Preserve community in North Durham, is the company’s second home to be built in which all proceeds from the sale benefit sick children at Duke Children’s Hospital.
