Everyone wants the sleek, upscale look of new kitchen countertops. But having the kitchen transformed into a long-term construction site may turn some folks off to the upgrade. Think again, says Tim Stickney, owner of Cary-based Granite Transformations.
“More than 80 percent of our kitchen countertop jobs can be completed in just one day,” he says. “We are in and out and you have brand new countertops before you even know it.”
Granite Transformations makes the process easy by installing its engineered granite right over your existing countertops. Everyone wants the sleek, upscale look of new kitchen countertops. But having the kitchen transformed into a long-term construction site may turn some folks off to the upgrade.
After a free in-home consultation session, a template is made of the existing countertops. Then, the custom engineered granite countertops are made and installed right over the existing ones. Granite Transformations employees, not outside contractors, do the installation work, says Stickney. Customers can select from 26 colors.
Stickney says the company offers this without any demolition work in the existing kitchen. Other advantages include maintenance-free countertops and a lifetime limited material warranty. The new counters are 95 percent Italian granite and bonded with a resin, which makes them durable and heat, scratch, stain and bacteria resistent, he says.
A Granite Transformations countertop also can be less than the average cost of demolition and replacement with slab granite and other engineered surfaces. “We offer a lot of advantages to the homeowner who wants brand new countertops without having to demolish the kitchen,” he says.
