Countertops that Make The Room

Absolute Stone was responsible for all countertops in the Showcase for a Cure debut.
From kitchens to bathrooms to the laundry room and the bonus room, the countertops from Absolute Stone beautify surfaces throughout the Showcase for a Cure benefit house. “We feel very proud of what we do,” said President Luis Barreto, “and we did our best to help make this house beautiful.”
Barreto was pleased to be asked by builder Rex Bost to participate in the creation of this Tuscan villa. Absolute Stone has built a reputation in the Triangle for over ten years, providing quality stone installations in fine homes and businesses.
Keeping with the green theme of the project, all the counter surfaces are covered with natural stone products imported from Brazil, India and Italy. Color and style selections were made, taking into consideration the décor of the rooms, the intended use of the area and the effect of the marble or granite pattern.
The contemporary look of the granite and marble surfaces blended well into the Old World atmosphere of the home. The sleek golds, blues and greens and the interesting patterns in the stone complement the color palettes in the rooms.
While most of the stone edges were rounded, a chiseled finish was used on the granite topping the cabinetry in the bonus room. “The granite had to be heated from both sides at once,” Barreto explained the process, “and chiseled from top and bottom at the same time—a very difficult process.” The result is perfect for the rustic atmosphere of the bonus room.
Barreto has every right to be proud of the workmanship and quality of the countertops in this house. Absolute Stone’s reputation is rock solid.
