Carolina Glass & Mirror created an art piece with this cast glass shower wall, located in the cabana bathroom at the Showcase for a Cure Home.
In its debut appearance in the Showcase for a Cure benefit house, Carolina Glass & Mirror demonstrates its wide range of capabilities throughout the home.
“This is a really worthwhile project for a great cause,” stated David Fitchett, co-founder and President of Carolina Glass & Mirror, “and Carolina Glass & Mirror is happy to have the opportunity to be a part of it.” The diversity of custom applications Fitchett has made in the home demonstrates the expanding role of glass in architecture, adding interest and appeal.
The pièce de résistance of Fitchett’s talents is a shower wall of cast glass in the cabana bath. Cast glass is produced by heating plate glass in a sculpted mold, which creates areas of varying depth, relief, and texture. This molded texture provides visual obscurity with an appealing tactile quality. This shower wall is virtually a piece of art in the bathroom.
Tempered glass is featured in the master bath shower wall and in the oversized kitchen cabinets. In the huge master shower Fitchett uses glass doors to divide the area into a rain shower and a steam shower.
Fitchett’s varied uses of glass brings interest and quality to the showcase home. Builders, remodelers and interior designers for homeowners and commercial businesses appreciate the distinctive, cutting-edge custom interior design of the company which is exemplified in this home. Carolina Glass & Mirror has truly enhanced the image of Tuscan elegance and style throughout the Showcase for a Cure benefit house.
